washington giant earthworm- driloleirus americanus
Washington Giant Earthworms, also known as giant palouse earthworms, are earthworms that are found in Eastern Washington state and parts of Idaho. Their habitat consists of bunch grass praries and soil that contains volcanic ash. These worms bury deep into the ground during summer, so that they are not as exposed to drought.
Washington Giant Earthworms reproduce like most other earthworms; they contain both male and female organs and swap sperm so that both of the worms produce an offspring. Females, though, can reproduce asexually.
