The Chordata Phylum consists of all animals that have backbones; therefore, mostly all of the organisms that belong to the Chordata Phylum are vertebrates. For instance, this phylum consists of organisms such as humans, jaguars, bears, fish, frogs, snakes, etc.
Members of the Chordata Phylum possess similar body features, such as pharyngeal slits, a dorsal nerve cord, a notochord, and a post-anal tail(at some point of their life cycle). The majority of Chordata reproduce through sexual reproduction. |
