Mollusca
Mollusca is scientifically proven to be one of the most diverse phylum on the planet with approximately 50,000 to 200,000 living species. These living species include: snails, squid, octopuses, clams, scallops, oysters, etc. Molluscs are organisms that all share some unique body characteristics. For example, all molluscs have a head, a foot, and a visceral mass (area where majority of organs are stored). This is all covered with a mantle that usually creates the shell. In some organisms, like slugs and octopuses, the mantle is lost, while in others, it is used for other processes, such as respiration.
